Release: FireProtect 2 AC is now available for order

Ajax Systems is thrilled to announce the new product release. FireProtect 2 AC is designed to disrupt markets where standards require the 110–240 V~ mains connection. The release includes five models with a different set of sensors: heat, smoke, CO, or combined. Each sensor is marked in the detector name for convenience:

AC fire detectors inherited all FireProtect 2 signature features. Each detector is powered by 110–240 V~ mains and includes a sealed backup battery. Even in a power outage, the device continues to operate, ensuring quick and reliable fire detection throughout its 10-year lifespan. Detectors are traditionally equipped with a powerful 85 dB siren to alert about fire threats with different patterns for each alarm or event. It’s much easier to distinguish between alarm types and react accordingly.

The SmartBracket mounting panel is reinvented completely to ease the installation process. The panel now consists of a mounting part and a protective lid in order to keep an installer safe from direct contact with electrical wiring. The lever-actuated WAGO 221 connectors inside SmartBracket can be easily removed and switched back during the wiring. There is no need to disassemble the enclosure or use a screwdriver at all. It takes only 90 seconds to install the detector.

AC detectors also have an upgraded interconnected fire alarm function. Additionally to the primary interconnection via Ajax hub (activates in 20 seconds), new fire detectors can activate a synchronous fire alarm directly detector-to-detector via fallback interconnection (activates within a minute).
